Building Futures: Career and Life Skills for Adults with 22q will be a webinar focusing on the transition to adulthood.
Speakers:
Jason Osborn: Human resources professional and our Career Coach for The 22q Family Foundation's Career Pathways Program
Jason will discuss his views working directly with our young adult/adult population and share common themes he has noticed, the role that a parent can play in an adult's life, and best practices he recommends for parent expectations of adults with 22q11.2 deletion syndrome.
Andrea Schneider, Ph.D: Associate research scientist and psychologist at the UC David MIND Institute
Andrea will discuss the mental health aspects of becoming an adult, adult function, how to identify challenges and how to overcome them living as an adult with a disability. She will also touch on how you can support your adult child as they age into adulthood and highlight resources that are available.
