Josiah was born December 4, 2017 at 7 lbs 11 oz and 21 inches long. It was an induced labor, but as soon as he was born, he was whisked to the NICU. He was having breathing and eating issues initially. It took ten minutes for him to breathe on his own and 6 days to eat without a feeding tube. At our 20 week anatomy scan, unilateral club foot was detected which lead to genetic testing, thus finding the probability of 22q. It was confirmed shortly after birth which lead to multiple specialists.  So far he has been diagnosed with an ASD (hole in the muscle between the heart ventricle), clubfoot and 22q11.2 Deletion Syndrome. We are still finding out how it will impact his life and development. He has had an issue with constipation and pooping on his own, as well as low production on PTH so those are our current battles. Josiah has been the strongest most well adjusted child I've ever met. He is full of smiles and loves cuddles any time of day. He is the sunshine to our lives and we are beyond blessed to have such a strong kiddo!
