Have you ever wished you could interview an independent adult with 22Q?

Have you ever wished there was someone who could help your child learn valuable life skills such as cooperation, respect, self-control, focus, and confidence?

Come to the 22Q Family Support Network Meeting on 2/28/15 and both wishes will be granted!

Mr Aaron Rumsey is a 35 year old who has deletion 22q11.2. In addition to his full time employment, he teaches martial arts at the Dearborn County School of Martial Arts in Lawrenceburg, IN.

He has kindly agreed to come to our next meeting and share a bit about his experience growing up and living with 22Q. He will also explain the many benefits of Tae Kwon Do and Tai Chi which he has participated in since he was 5 years old.

He and some of his pupils will perform a demonstration and we will have some group participation exercises.

This is a Family event, children are encouraged to attend. Volunteers will be on hand to provide supervised play in the auditorium and rooms adjacent to the main meeting room.  Your RSVP is appreciated to ensure we have enough lunch and volunteers.  Please call or email Danielle Arand – 513-636-7226 or Danielle.Arand@cchmc.org.  As always, if you don’t know until last minute that you can attend, you will be welcome, but if you don’t RSVP, you need to bring your own lunch.
