Staff members from the Dempster Family Foundation, March of Dimes Dallas/Ft. Worth and Merrill Lynch Dallas office joined forces to continue to spread awareness of 22q deletion syndrome and enjoy a great night of baseball at the Rangers Ballpark this past Tuesday. The Dempster Family Foundation is partnering with March of Dimes DFW and Merrill Lynch Dallas to spread awareness in the local markets and celebrate the 100 Faces of 22q campaign launched earlier this summer. The 100 Faces of 22q Campaign pulls together families across 35 states (and growing), Canada, Puerto Rico and overseas (Australia) to tell their story and join in the movement to give a “face” to 22q in our communities. Merrill Lynch Dallas Office has committed $1000 to the program as a Corporate partner and encourages others to DONATE – all to raise funds to support grants for organizations supporting families of children with the disorder. Earlier this month, the Foundation’s 22q Mystery Bus, an awareness tour developed by the Dempster Family Foundation, made an appearance at the Rangers Ballpark to spark interest in answering the question—what is this disorder? The Foundation’s 22q Mystery Bus has been traveling the country to raise awareness of 22q11.2 deletion this summer. Click Here for more on the 22q Mystery Bus.
