JACK RYAN
Retrun to 22q StoriesYou are here
Jack was diagnosed at Age 2 following VSD repair surgery at CHOP. He is now a healthy, happy, very active 11 year old in middle school. Jack’s biggest challenge has been his behaviors in school. After constant struggles with our school district, I think they finally get it. I had Elwyn Institute Genetics Dept. come to Jack’s school for an in-service on Q22 and I saw the lightbulbs going off in everyone’s heads. They finally believe that Jack has no control of his behaviors and needs con stant sensory releases. With this revelation, the school is finally a happy place for Jack.
