We were ecstatic to be having a baby girl! Our Chloe was born on December 18, 2009, just one week before Christmas. Everything seemed to be perfectly normal until she continued to struggle with eating. The nurses eventually took her for some tests and they found out her oxygen was low. She was then transported to Wolfsons Children’s Hospital where they did a eco and found out she had Truncus Arterious. It was later confirmed she had DiGeorge Syndrome……Di what?? I had never heard of this before and felt completely lost, but two heart surgeries, months of hospitalizations, and a lot of education later we continue to be incredibly blessed with a very active girl. Thank you to all those who have banded together to shed more light and education on something not many are familiar with!
