My grandson Chikao was diagnosed at age 14 with hypoparathyroid syndrome. Di George Syndrome q22 deletion. He is now 24 years old. It has become a challenge to get help for his mental stability and medications. He is a all around good guy but he has poor decision making skills and judgement. We have been to many doctors and psychiatrist, they know little to nothing about the disorder. He is loved by his family and the folks in his adult day program. He is now in need of a behavior specialist and ILS trainer. I was very unprepared and unaware of his particular symptoms that have now manifested around his behavior. I was searching for someone who could help with a support group. We live in the San Francisco Bay Area.
