AIDAN - 8 YEARS OLD
Retrun to 22q StoriesYou are here

Aidan was born in November of 2004. Doctors at UCSD and Rady Children's first thought he had lung issues because his oxygen was so low, but he was diagnosed at 10 days old with "DiGeorge Syndrome", which led to his trunchus arteriosus diagnosis. His heart is now fully repaired, but he has low t-cells, low weight, scoliosis and some social-emotional and delays/ADHD.
Aidan is an excellent student who loves his San Diego beaches, Hot Wheels, Angry Birds and penguins. He is thriving with the love of his big brother Connor, dad Drew (who is a school based occupational therapist) and his artist/advocate/mom Emily. He recently celebrated his happy healthy heart with a trip up to the Observatory on Mauna Kea in Hawaii!
