FONTELLA
Retrun to 22q StoriesYou are here
My daughter, Fontella was born November 6, 2001 as a healthy little girl. It was not until the next morning, when the nurses relized that she was turning blue that something was wrong. She was diagnosed with DiGeorge Syndrome and required several surgeries: two heart surgeries, currently has a pace maker, blind in one eye, speech issues, and some developmental issues, but overall a blessed little girl. She doesn\’t have many facial features of DiGeorge Syndrome nor do I treat her like something wrongs. Fontella enjoys her life and lives it as any other little girl would. The more difficult your challenge or test in life the more stronger of a person you become.
